Trump Rules Nevada

On Feb. 24, Mother Jones Politics reported about Donald Trump winning the Nevada caucuses, which left his opponents Cruz and Rubio questioning to stay in the race. Trump has won first place in three of the four states that have voted thus far with a second-place showing in Iowa. He rallied up his audience by saying “We got to get our country back on track. It’s quite the mess.”

Hillary Clinton, at it again

During Tuesday’s Democratic presidential debate, CNN’s Chris Cuomo pressed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton to release her transcripts of paid speeches to Goldman Sachs. After refusal, Mother Jones Politics reports that Clinton became very defensive and attacking the republicans saying “Why is there one standard for me and not for everyone else?” Still, no transcripts have been released.

The Long 8 Years

President Barrack Obama finally is trying to keep his campaign promise of eight years ago to shut down the Guantanamo Bay facilities in which highly dangerous terrorists are kept and move them into US facilities to cut down on costs. Our government spend $445 million last year to keep the facility running. However, senator Mitch McConnell immediately opposed the president’s decision and pointed out that current law prohibits the government from bringing Guantanamo prisoners into the United States OR spending funds to prepare prisons in case they’re brought to the country.
