Facilitating and being a part of it!

It had been a while I wanted to try a Design Sprint. I love workshops and dynamics and when my team gave me the Sprint book for my birthday I dove into it. But it was only a few months after that a perfect opportunity came.

We had a big project that required a lot of thinking in a short amount of time, so I set down with our product manager and we decided to do a design sprint. It was something completely new for the company and it required some planning and explaining, so I prepared for all the…

A story of how I moved to Berlin on my own to work as a UX/UI designer — moving

As I was telling on part 1 and part 2 of this story, on October 24th, 2017 I received an offer to relocate to Berlin and work as a UX/UI designer in a start-up. After a chaotic visa process, I had only one thing left to do, actually move.

Even though I had no idea when my visa would be approved and I would be able to travel, I started thinking about packing and moving right after I received the offer. …

Stories of someone with chronic migraine

The sun is bright and high in the sky. The beer is cold in your hand. You’re already starting to feel the dizziness caused by the alcohol that also comes with a smile and a feeling of relaxation. You’re floating with the waves as the boat goes slowly down the river. The music is loud and you feel like dancing. Your friends are talking and you jump from group to group, getting in and out of random conversations. You’re happy and you smile, there’s nothing to worry about. It’s what you call a perfect summer day.

Except, you’re actually sitting…

A story of how I moved to Berlin on my own to work as a UX/UI designer — the visa

As I was telling on part 1 of this story, on October 24th, 2017 I received an offer to relocate to Berlin and work as a UX/UI designer in a start-up. And it was on that day that it actually began.

After the call I sent a message to my friends, who were really supportive during this entire process, cheering and encouraging me throughout the entire year. I said the happy hour already scheduled for that same evening would be a celebration. And it was, the first of many! At that time I didn’t know yet, but those friends…

A story of how I moved to Berlin on my own to work as a UX/UI designer — finding a job

I always wondered who am I to tell stories, but that’s exactly the point of it. I’m just a regular girl from south of Brazil who decided to leave everything behind and start all over in a completely different country. And it turns out that’s not that common! And it’s why I decided to share my story, and it’s a pretty personal story, filled with hard work, challenges and a lot of self learning. And this is just the first part.

When I was 29, I left a stable job in a multi-national company, my family and friends in…

I’m far away from being a specialist in health care. In fact, all I know about health is the same as every other person who has never suffered from a serious and/or chronic disease. I had a flu a few times in my life, I suffered from allergies from time to time, and I even had some anxiety episodes, but nothing too serious or life-threatening. Nothing that made me actually stop to learn more about healthcare.

But that changed around my thirties when I started having regular migraines crises. I suffered from strong headaches when I was a young student…
