“Creativity has long been a subject I could, at a moment’s notice, get into an impassioned rant about . . .”

I have, so far, been a reader and follower on Medium. But I have been thinking of challenging myself to write again, to keep my mind sharp and, hopefully, encourage conversation with other people.

Creativity has long been a subject I could, at a moment’s notice, get into an impassioned rant about. I recently made a book on Steller that addresses a few of my thoughts on this huge topic, including the fact that I am not a young artist. Perhaps I could be called an elder artist, if not for the fact that I am only in my sixties, so I would probably save that designation for those in their eighties and nineties. In any case, I strongly believe that creativity is a precious gift that need not diminish as we grow older.

The truth is, we are all aging, from the moment we are born. Some of us have just gotten a little further down the continuum than others.

One clap, two clap, three clap, forty?

By clapping more or less, you can signal to us which stories really stand out.
