Who are you?

The distance boat,
In the bluest open sea.
With little to tie it down,
It still wobbles in one place,
Confident of its place in the sun.
Does its captain bear down on it?
As she moves ahead on her own?
Or can she float as she wishes,
Charting new paths at will?
The boat tugs on heart strings,
With its breezy abandonment.
Come be with me, stay with me,
And we will see the world.
So little to keep me back,
No rudder, no anchor…
Will I sink in the deep sea?
Or gently ride the fickle crests?
Be strong says the wind.
There will be storms that come.
And you will sail through them,
With might that was hidden so long,
As you were born not a man.
And there it is. Who you are.
3.30 AM. Waiting for the storm. #carpenoctem
