Sports betting is the most dangerous hustle in the world because you can either get extremely rich or you can be completely broke and have a betting addiction. And what way to write about betting than the song being made by Elvis Presley. Elvis Presley was easily the biggest songwriter and performer in the 50’s and 60’s and he wrote a specific song about betting named Viva Las Vegas. Elvis Presley was extremely loved when he was musician, people loved how he acted on the stage and loved the songs he made. They loved him not only for his talent and what he did on the stage, but he was a great man as well. The audience that Elvis Presley was talking too was anyone interested in Las Vegas and anyone that would want to go visit. But the audience that was intended was anyone that likes to gamble because in the song that was all he talked about and how you can lose all your money gambling, but you can also win big.

The context of Viva Las Vegas was a title song for a movie starring Elvis Presley and, in the movie, Elvis plays a race car driver and must wait tables at a hotel to pay off a debt. He then performs Viva Las Vegas at the hotel’s talent competition. All the song was written for was for a movie and during the movie he lost money from betting and in the song, he talks about betting at Las Vegas.

The Pathos in the song Viva Las Vegas is when Elvis Presley talks about what you need in Las Vegas when you are betting, and you will be good, but it isn’t true at all. He says in the song that “All you need’s a strong heart and a nerve of steel” which is not true for Vegas, and you will need a lot more to make it through Vegas.

The Logos in the song Viva Las Vegas is when Elvis sings about how he is hoping he can keep winning and it is common sense because everyone wants to win. In the song he says “I’m going to give it everything I’ve got, Lady luck please let the dice stay hot, Let me shoot a seven with every shot.

The Ethos in the song Viva Las Vegas is Elvis Presley singing about gambling and talking about Vegas and how good it is there. He expresses on how when you come to Vegas you need certain things and need to do certain things. In the song he says “Oh, there’s blackjack and poker and the roulette wheel A fortune won and lost on every deal” which is him saying that you can win or lose on these betting machines.
