Ted Movie Review
The Ted movie might be the funniest movie that I have ever watched. When you think of the outline of the ted movie it makes you interested. I mean a teddy bear that gets high with his best friend John and they just live their lives. The movie is directed by Seth MacFarlane who is the voice of Ted the bear and you might know him as the voice of Peter Griffin in the show Family Guy. It also stars with Mark Wahlberg and Mila Kunis. Now the story of the Ted movie is that a little kid named John doesn’t have any friends but on Christmas he got a teddy bear and named him teddy. He wished that Ted could come to life so they could actually have real fun and be best friends for ever. John’s Christmas wish came true and when he woke up Ted was alive and talking to him. They grow up together and do everything together as they are best friends. John has a girlfriend and now they are all living together. John’s girlfriend Lori wants Ted to move out and get his own place so they can move on with their lives and start an actual family. So now John is stuck in between hanging out with Ted and making his girlfriend mad or not hanging out with his best friend but making his girlfriend happy and having a good relationship.
The genre of the ted movie is a pure comedy. The movie is one of those comedy movies that are actually funny and will have you laughing out loud. Ted and John have a song that they sing when they hear thunder because ever since they were kids they never liked thunder and they call themselves thunder buddies for life. You can’t compare this type of movie to any other movies because it is a talking teddy bear that gets high and does drugs. The jokes that are made in the movie are some to where you think and go no way they just said that in today's world. Ted and John were talking about how the weed they were smoking was weak and that the weed guy needs to step it up. They start talking about the different type of batches the weed guy has and Ted says “He only had three other batches: Gorilla Panic, They’re coming, They’re coming, and something called This is Permanent.” This movie is not made for little children, I would say that around 13–15 years old teenagers could start watching it but that all depends on how parents let kids watch certain movies and shows. I watched the movie when I was 15 I would say and I still did not understand some of the jokes that I now understand and can laugh at it now. The big strengths that this movie has is how good the actors are like Mark Wahlberg, Mila Kunis, and Patrick Warburton. Another big part of the movie would be how funny the movie is in general.
The ted movie did so good in reviews and everybody went to watch it or at least saw clips of the movie many times and everyone knew about the movie when it first came out. The audience rating story of the Ted movie got a 4.4/5 stars and has 442 reviews on the movie. In 2013 Ted won 4 different awards: Empire Award for Best Comedy, MTV Movie & TV Award for Best Duo, People’s Choice Award for Favorite Comedy, and Short Industry Award for Best in Film. They made a sequel called Ted 2 because the first Ted movie did so well and won 4 different awards and brought in a total gross of 549.4 million against a budget of 50 million. And the ted 2 movie brought in 3 different awards: Best Comedy, Best Comedy TV Spot, Best Comedy Poster. Now ted 2 didn’t have the same success as the first one but it was still a box office success bringing in 215.9 million dollars on a 68 million dollar budget. And with both the movies having box office success making millions of dollars on not a high budget brought another opportunity on bringing Ted back to screens with a spin off ted show that started streaming on Peacock.
Now the ted show is about John and Ted when they were teenagers and they had to go to high school. The show reveals that Ted and John started smoking weed when they are teenagers and have been pot heads ever since. But if I could say anything more about the Ted movie and how much success that the movie has brought in for the company. I would say that Ted is a must watch movie with many different funny moments and that you could watch the movie over and over again and not get bored of the movie.
