Yet another intranet…

Will the KW Connect sharing platform be a good tool for real-estate agents, or just another intranet?

Inman.com today tells the story about the real estate agency Keller Williams and their new “KW Connect” platform.

I know that real-estate-agent need good tools for cooperation and idea-sharing. But they are also extremly focused on their work.

After seeing the video, the question remains: Will the agents use this in their daily work, or will it be “just another intranet” with high hopes, but a lot less use.

In my opinion the video doesnt show how the 146.000 agents at KW gets this integrated in their daily workflow. I guess the real test is: Will the discussions about work still be on Facebook?

(Or maybe KW dont want to show the competition the real goodies of integration…)

Building what the believe they need to own

But i liked this comment from the KW CIO Josh Team:

As they add to the main platform, the tech team is building what they believe they need to own,”.

“This is anything that agents are logging into on a daily basis, anything to do with the continuing relationship between them and their clients, CRM or transaction management, for instance.”
