A Popular Kids Show Makes Me Unreasonably Angry

It’s hard to watch.

If you have young kids, you’re probably familiar with the hit Disney show Spidey and His Amazing Friends.

If you’re not familiar, it’s an animated show where Spidey (Peter Parker), Ghost Spider (Gwen Stacey), and Spin (Miles Morales) are all kids.

Together, the 3 of them do typical Spider-Man things, like fighting villains or swinging the streets of New York City.

That’s all fun and good and all, but there’s one part of the show doesn’t translate from adult iterations of Spider-Man to this kids’ one.

And that’s Aunt May.

In any comic book or movie version of Spider-Man, Aunt May doesn’t know that Peter is Spider-Man. And that makes sense.

Peter is a teenager, he’s able to sneak out of the house, and he can keep it a secret.

But in Spidey and His Amazing Friends, Peter, Miles, and Gwen are all kids (presumably in upper elementary school).

So the question is worth asking:

How does Aunt May NOT know that they’re superheroes?
