Six Years In. A Few Thoughts on Foursquare.

A day late and a dollar short

Sorry, but I felt like the Foursquare guys jumped the shark when they split into two apps. They took a simple, fun little concept and forced users into choosing between managing two apps to do essentially the same thing as one or deciding to dump Foursquare and do location log-ins on Facebook. Sadly, I chose the latter. I say sadly, because I really liked using the Foursquare app and had racked up quite a decent collection of badges. But I drew the line at having to install yet another app on my phone and tablet. My life is no less rich than before. If anything, it’s better. I doubt there’s much Foursquare could do to get me back.
