WHY SMALL BUSINESSES FAIL TO ADAPT!
If you sell a product, a service, an idea, or even something smaller than the palm of my hand, you are a business.
It’s 2016 and you know how many “small businesses” still have an @aol or @gmail email address? It costs almost nothing to have your own domain email. BUY IT! You know how unprofessional you look?!
Need a website? It’s called Squarespace or Wix. Oh and stop creating personal Facebook accounts for your business. Facebook hates you for that.
This might seem like an epic rant and I’m no small business guru, but come on! You cry that you have zero sales and nobody is buying your product or using your service. Position yourself correctly. If this small business is only a side business, dedicate some time to it. Nurture it, care for it, act like you care about it. There are 24 hours in a day. Take one hour, and be heads down into your product.
The new excuse lately from everyone is I’m “too busy”. Nobody is that busy. Cut the nonsense. I’m too busy to write blogs but I use Siri to take notes for me and put my ideas into thoughts. We sometimes forget that we have the tools available in today’s day in age to make things better for ourselves, not worse.
Small business owners — this is a wake up call for you! Get cracking on that next idea! I believe in you.
