Why Small Drum Kits are a Big Deal
Don’t get us wrong, big kits are great and all, but recently smaller club kits have grabbed our attention. Why? Well, around here at Cascio Music we have quite a few gigging drummers — and any gigging drummer knows the internal struggle of getting a set in and out of a club.
Our band and orchestra buyer said it best, “No one wants to spend extra time tuning eight toms when there is beer to be had.”
Smaller kits are much more compact and convenient, while still maintaining a big sound. The kits truly force you to do more with less, and ultimately allows you to become more creative with what you have. Plus they are perfect for apartments, are often cost effective, and simply a lot of fun.
“If you can’t do it on a small kit, you shouldn’t have a big kit,” said Band and Orchestra buyer Jacob Miller.
