The Truth Behind Black Lives Matter
For a group that is so against racism they seem to be pretty racist. That doesn’t make much sense does it? Of course it doesn’t, it makes you wonder if their points are really valid. They are arguing the wrong points.
Who Is Black Lives Matter and What Do They Believe In?
Well if you look at their website and look at the “Who We Are” tab you will see this definition that they put for themselves, “Black Lives Matter is a chapter-based national organization working for the validity of Black life. We are working to (re)build the Black liberation movement.”
Looking at it, it’s not a bad concept and you would think that they have good intentions which theoretically they do, but in reality it’s just a bundle of illogicalness and irrationality.
One of the most popular subjects that Black Lives Matter is strongly against is “innocent” black people getting shot for “no reason”. In some cases, there have been unlawful shootings that have been unjustified. The police officers that have done such murders have been properly prosecuted by the courts. But those aren’t the ones that they like to focus on because everyone saw that police did do a “bad shoot”. Black Lives Matter likes to focus on the cases to where the black victim is trying to attack the police officer or showing life threatening intentions towards the police officers or a civilian. Black Lives Matter likes to focus on the cases it seems where there is proof that the black person is trying to attack the officer. They hide behind the false evidence that they made up to make the victim look like he was just sitting down reading the bible waiting for church to get out. But in every case it seems it turns out that it’s not even remotely true. Are there racist cops? Of course. Are there racist white people? Of course. But you can’t say every cop or every white person is racist. And yes, there are some racist blacks.
Now that we know who they are, what do they stand for? What do they believe in? On their website they say exactly what they believe in, “ Black Lives Matter is an ideological and political intervention in a world where Black lives are systematically and intentionally targeted for demise.”
What they are saying in this is that they are a radical hate group that intentionally targets police officers and more specifically white police officers for demise for “Justice”. They are tired of black people getting shot for “no reason” even though police officers are getting targeted for doing their job and protecting people from harm. Police are shooting certain people, not just black people, who are trying to harm them or other people. For anyone who says BLM aren’t targeting police officers let’s look at Jeffery Williams who frequently attended the Black Lives Matter protests and was friends with Michael Browns friend Dorian Wilson. He shot one police officer in the face and the other one in the shoulder. What about Micah Johnson who killed 5 police officers at a Black Lives Matter protest in Dallas. He wrote on his Facebook page this “I’m putting wings on pigs today. They take 1 of ours….. let’s take 2 of theirs #ShootThePolice #RIPErivGardner #RIPMikeBrown This may be my last post I’m putting pigs in a blanket.” If you didn’t know but that last sentence is something a lot of people chanted at a Black Lives Matter protest in New York City. They marched and chanted “Pigs in a blanket fry them like bacon!” Well I don’t know about you but that’s making threats towards police. I wonder what they mean by “Pigs in a blanket fry the like bacon!” Probably killing them or at least that’s my interpretation on their little saying. You can’t say that their intent is not to promote killing cops.
What Should Black Lives Matter Focus On?
I believe that Black Lives Matter should focus on Black on Black killing because that is the #1 cause of Black deaths in America. Of course black on black crime is going to be higher. Just like white on white crime is going to be higher. But if Black Lives Matter is going to focus on saving black lives then they need to go to the source of black people dying. But they won’t do that because they don’t care about black lives unless it’s a white police officer shooting a black person. It’s sad to see a group so devoted to saving black lives from demise but they won’t try and fix the main source of the problem.
Should Black Lives Matter Look At History?
When I tell someone else to look at the history of blacks in the USA, they automatically think slavery, the civil war, and the civil rights movement. We need to look at them as they truly are.
The biggest misconception of the civil war was it was about slavery, which it was in part, but it was also about states saying “We need to make laws in our own individual states on whether or not slavery should be legal or not.” The federal government said “Oh no you can’t.”
Some black people act as if slavery excuses them from everything that has gone wrong in their life. News flash for you, slavery has been abolished for 151 years. You can’t say that you’re being put down and lowered because of slavery when for the past 3 generations it hasn’t even affected you at all! So quit blaming it because your great, great, great grandparents were slaves. Was it a horrible thing that America did? Yes! But don’t act like it’s affecting you now to the point where you can’t succeed in life. The United States of America is the best country for black people to live in with so much opportunity to make a good living and live your life the way you want to without being discriminated against.
The civil rights movement was a stepping stone for black people in America. It stopped segregation and established equality. Guess how that happened? With peace. Yes there were some groups such as the black panthers which was doing exactly what Black Lives Matter is doing and guess how that ended? The whole cause was looked down upon because the Black Panthers were inciting violence and Martin Luther King Jr. knew that. So he made sure that his followers were peaceful which really did show that their cause was noble. Look at what happened, segregation was abolished and equality was established.
What Should We Take From This?
We need to point Black Lives Matter in a different direction than they are heading. We need to help them focus on the real problem. Of course unjustified police shootings are a problem, but Black Lives Matter doesn’t want to focus on those shootings because they know that everyone knows it’s an unjustified shooting and that the police officer responsible for the shooting will be prosecuted for their unjustified shooting. They want to focus on the shootings of justified killings of some black people who are committing crimes or making threating actions. The movement seems also to continue making false statements of what happened before the facts are released, so they can get attention of the media and portray it as a racist cop shooting yet another black person who was sitting down reading a bible waiting for Sunday school to start.
