In the Future

This project has been a really great experience from me. Both that I enjoyed being a part of it and I took so much from it.

I need to work on my communication skills and I know my strengths currently lie on set and during production. I would like to improve both of these in the future. But after doing this project and this unit, I would like to follow in more creative roles (directing, production design) because I find myself drawn to and more motivated by the creative responsibilities. I am also really excited to learn more about how a continuity person can aid a project.

I have learnt more about distribution and the variation in how projects work. Now valuing research before a shoot more than anything. The preparation of all the crew prior to filming and making sure they are all on the same page so when production happens, everyone is ready for it.

I am watched other students too and seen what sort of crew member I want to be. I want to be a reliable and hard work (hands dirty) type or person. I think they are the easiest and most enjoyable personalities to work with and I could massively benefit from becoming more like that. I want to be ready for anything on set, which comes from preplanning everything and being flexible and ready to adapt last minute.

The first think I would do differently is set myself expectations and dates for all the work load, so I can keep on top of it and be in control of my responsibilities throughout the whole process.
