I’m not really sure what the point of your irrelevant straw man is. My story doesn’t really get in to hiring process or selection criteria. If you are hoping I am in favor of hiring unqualified candidates I am not and I don’t believe there are many people who would advocate for that.

I will say that there is a pretty substantial amount of information out there about how the interview and hiring process can be unintentionally biased.

I’ll also say that based on some of the responses you have posted to other stories, you could benefit from a serious dose of introspection and frankly it scares the crap out of me that you claim to be a tech manager. But I suspect I’m wasting my time even responding.
