Brandon — great post. As your boss at the time, I want you to look at it from my perspective. People who make mistakes, and learn from them, are amongst the most valuable employees any company can have. No manager worth their salt would ever fire someone for making a bad product decision when they know deep down that the PM is empathetic, thoughtful, and as smart as you are. Humans make mistakes, and go on to accomplish incredible things — and its the mistakes that force people to grow and become better. I’m really proud to ever have worked with you, keep on keeping on!
