So, I mostly agree (although I had a few more complaints) however, I'd be willing to bet racism wasn't on the table not at all because they weren't willing to go there but rather because the racist would immediately know the person he was assigned to work with was black/Hispanic/not white. Were there a way for race to be hidden from the racist, I'm sure they would have included it.
