“KT’s bullpen would have recovered their physical strength as well,” he cautioned

Manager Yoon Kyung-yup celebrates with his players

Game 2 of the 2023 KBO Korean Series between the KT Wiz and the LG Twins at Jamsil Baseball Stadium in Seoul, South Korea, on April 8. LG manager Yim Kyung-yup high-fives his players after LG won the game 5–4.

LG Twins manager Yoon Kyung-yeop, 55, isn’t thinking about the “after,” even though the team needs just one game out of three to complete its first title in 29 years.

“Today, I am eager to win today,” he said at Jamsil Stadium in Seoul on the 13th, the day of the Korean Series (KS) Game 5 against the KT Wiz. “From yesterday (when I didn’t play), I only thought about the game operation today. I was thinking about how to score the first run in Game 5 and how to operate the bullpen.”

LG dropped Game 1, but won Games 2 through 4 to take a 3–1 lead in the best-of-seven series.

“We’ve been emphasizing fundamentals throughout the KS. We are the team that won the regular season. We are the team that won the regular season, so I think we can win the KS if we keep the same fundamentals we did in the regular season,” he said, adding, “In the KS, we got a home run and took the series in our favor.”

After failing to hit a home run in Game 1, LG exploded for eight home runs in Games 2 through 4.

While Yoon was pleased with the batting explosion, he was wary.

“We played six exhibition games in preparation for the KS. If you think about the previous teams that went straight to the KS, they played about four games. Our batsmen’s hitting came up quickly because we practiced a lot,” he said, “but it’s hard to maintain that good hitting throughout the series. We need to be prepared for when the bats don’t hit.”

Yeom watches the game

LG manager Yeom Kyung-yup watches the game between KT Wiz and LG Twins during the second inning of the 2023 KBO Korean Series at Jamsil Baseball Stadium in Seoul on November 8, 2018.

Five games into the playoffs, KT’s core bullpen is showing signs of fatigue.

However, Yeom said, “KT’s core bullpen had two days of rest, 11 days and yesterday (after LG’s 15–4 win in Game 4). “Our hitters will prepare for today’s game just like in Game 1, when the KT bullpen was still strong. “Our hitters will prepare for today’s game like in Game 1, when the KT bullpen was still strong,” Yoo said.

“Actually, the key to winning Game 5 is starting pitcher Casey Kelly,” he said, “and I hope he can pitch long innings.”

Of course, the bullpen was called upon.

“All the pitchers except Im Chan-kyu and Kim Yun-sik (who started Games 3 and 4) will be available today,” Yeom said.

Yoon made no changes to his batting lineup.

Hong Chang-ki (right field), Park Hae-min (center field), Kim Hyun-soo (designated hitter), Austin Dean (first base), Oh Ji-hwan (shortstop), Moon Bo-kyung (third base), Park Dong-won (catcher), Moon Sung-joo (left field), and Shin Min-jae (second base) will bat in order. 카지노사이트존
