Ketchup sandwiches and other things stupid poor people eat

This was really heartfelt and I am on board with your overall standpoint, but I don’t really understand your bitterly cynical view on donating goods and giving away things you don’t need to people who do. I don’t think that people in general are really patting themselves on the back and thinking what a benefactor of society they are when they donate a bag of castoffs to Goodwill… they probably realize that it’s a win-win and they needed the space. But it’s a hell of a lot better than what many people do — which is throw things away. And I think you might be missing the fact that places like Goodwill create jobs, often for those who would otherwise be unable to get one.
