Samara Mahindra, founder of ‘The Carer Program,’ a healthcare startup for post-cancer care for survivors plans to tie up with a major hospital (multispecialty) in Mumbai and one in South India in an aim to expand their core operations and reach out to more people. The company also plans to tie up with a leading non-profit organization based in Mumbai. The deals are expected to close by the end of July.
4. Kolkata based Wow! Momo, the country’s largest chain of momos with over 100 outlets across eight cities has raised Rs 44 crore as Series B funding from Lighthouse Funds and Indian Angel Network at a Rs 230 crore valuation. The fund raised also provides a very cost-effective exit to some India Angel Network (IAN) investors (whosoever elected to sell their earlier investment) with an IRR of nearly 50 per cent in less than 18 months.
