Are you ready for a new Twitter layout?
Twitter is testing a possible new layout along with other interaction changes.

Twitter is asking for your help on possible new layouts and interactions for tweeting. They would love your opinion on the variations in the picture. The hope is better tweet engagement.
In an attempt to keep users more engaged with each other Sara Haider, Twitter product manager, proposed the mock ups above and opened it up to suggestions from users. Some of the suggestions were scrollable replies. Along with scrollable replies keep the original tweet pinned to the top for easy access and reference. Adding timestamps such as “currently available” was also something users seemed very interested in. Sometimes a tweet only shows in a user’s newsfeed hours later so a timestamp would let the user know if the tweeter was still active and available for interaction. The hope, obviously, is if you know the original tweeter was still active there would be more opportunity for back and forth conversation. I might add it would be helpful to know which of my followers commented the most so I would be sure to respond to them. While I would hope to respond to everyone who takes the time to comment on my posts I like the idea of knowing who my frequent commenters are so I can be sure to engage with them.
Tweeting can sometimes be very confusing, especially for someone who uses it sometimes and not always. Anything Twitter can do to make the conversation flow a little easier for me is always welcome. There will always be those who are great with Twitter and do not want to see it change but for those of us inexperienced a little cleaning up would be welcome.
