thank you for this beautifully written reflection of our current paradigm. as a business owner and manufacturer, i used to assign the mantra “the high tide raises all ships” to my work in this city, but over the last couple of years, it seems to have become somehow inpalpable to me. i hadn’t been able to concretely express why; but i suddenly could not quite utter it. it is because so many are drowning and the ships are bigger.
