Lots of researchers at the University I work for use Mechanical Turk to collect data for their studies. I wonder what the characteristics of that pool are, people who will spend 10 minutes on a survey for 50 cents, and how that affects the data outcomes. I mean, it’s probably more diverse than the young white college students that often make up data (readily available).
