Baby Blocks

Baby Blocks

Make these baby shower balloon boxes for a gender reveal party.

Materials Needed:

  • Foam board
  • Clear vinyl sheet
  • Double-sided tape
  • Hot glue gun and glue sticks
  • Craft knife or utility blade
  • Ruler and pencil
  • Balloons in desired colors
  • Decorative letters (e.g., “B,” “A,” “B,” “Y”)

Instructions:

  • Start by cutting the foam board into 14x14-inch squares. You will need four squares for each box.
  • On each square, measure and mark 2 inches in from the edge to create a frame.
  • Using a craft knife, cut out an 11x11-inch square from the center to form the window opening. Cut a piece of clear vinyl slightly larger than the window opening.
  • Stretch the vinyl tightly over the opening to minimize wrinkles.
  • Use double-sided tape to secure the vinyl to the back of the frame. Be careful not to puncture the vinyl during this process.
  • Use double-sided tape to adhere your chosen letters (e.g., “B,” “A,” “B,” “Y”) to the front of each box.
  • Use a hot glue gun to join the edges of the foam board squares, forming a cube. Repeat for each box.
  • Once the cubes are assembled, fill them with balloons in your chosen colors.
  • Cut additional foam board pieces to create tops for the boxes and attach them using hot glue after the balloons are added.
