A song made me do it.

Woke up this morning. Some days that is enough. People buzz around me. I continue about my routines. Continue repeating. My actions are turning into a nostalgic elegy to the past. Slowly realising that I’m just the shadow of a previous idea of me. Sometimes it is enough just to keep going. Sometimes you need a helping hand, a shoulder to cry on, or just a familiar smile to get through. Before you can move on to something new.

When you can’t rely on the people you know. When you find yourself unable to have meaningful interaction with anyone at all. When you have forgotten how it feels to hold the hand of somebody you love. You will always have music. You will always have songs to transport you for a moment. Songs that let you see beauty in the ugliest of things. They may not fix the problem. They might not even be able to help. But for a moment, they can be a hand on your shoulder, a reassuring gesture of moral support. Sometimes that is all you need to keep going. Sometimes it is enough to know that you are not alone.

You are not alone.
