This monthly newsletter will provide you with insights on what is happening at Altoona’s epicenter for innovation and entrepreneurship, Catalyst Space.

The STEM squad had an opportunity to visit the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) prior to their BotBall competition.

We could not have done this without the support of Richard Steiner who organized the labs.

For the past several months the STEM Squad here at Catalyst Space has been preparing their robots for the competition that took place April 6th.

The Botball competition challenges students to complete a mix of tasks in two minutes with fully autonomous robots. The students learn how to organize themselves to create designs capable of accomplishing their goals, then program the robots in C to run all by themselves!

We are excited to present the available classes, clubs, and activities this year. There are a number of free introductory classes available so you get your feet wet. We especially encourage these free classes for anyone who might be thinking of getting their very own Catalyst Space membership.
