Finding Your True Identity in Christ!

With college students leaving home, leaving behind friends and family and embarking on their journey to college, many feel left out and if they’re all alone. Catalyst College Ministries was founded upon three basic principles:

· Finding out who God is

· Knowing God fully

· Trusting God with our heart, mind, body & soul.

Once we have found those three things we can start to fully understand God more and what he has in store for us. See, God loves us right where we are. We don’t have to get it together or clean up our lives. God says, “If you will just surrender your heart to me, I will take the broken pieces of your fragmented life, your uncertain future, and make them brand new!” Jesus died on the cross for our sins so that the world would not have to pay the price of the death on the cross. Many of us many feel depressed, unloved, unworthy, hopeless and left feeling like we don’t have any purpose. The great thing about God is that it’s our weakness that God uses to make us great. It’s our failures, our trials, and our hard times that God uses for his glory!

We cannot fully know God until we surrender our heart to him and allowing him to come into our lives. Many confess Jesus with their mouths but do not actively pursue a Christian lifestyle. That is why it is essential that we surrender to him!

So, how do we get to know God better? I mean, I’m in college right? It must be hard to follow Christ, right? Many of us have this false view of Christianity in college. We feel as though we can’t grow or that our faith will falter. To continue to grow in Christ, it is essential to do the following things:

· Find a family of Faith, where you can actively engage and be held accountable

· Get involved in on-campus and off-campus Bible studies or youth groups

· Involve yourself with pastors, elders, deacons and church members who can pray for you and help you along in your journey with Christ.

Over the next few months, we will show you how to find your identity in Christ, get to know God better, and how to continue to seek him daily, even in the midst of hard times!
