This is very deterministic theory, and I tend to disagree with determinism.
It is as if we are pre-conditioned to behave in specific ways and I believe human nature is rather infinite in its manifestation of love, hate, and ambiguity. We are risk takers, engage in behaviors that are not logical, and thrive in social situations that make us feel good. Library-centric assessments of the underlying rationale of our behaviors are exercises in futility. What really matters is the journey we each take, the growth we enable by making mistakes, and the options that are opening up when we think that everything is possible.
If I were to know that I always follow a pre-established path I would attempt to disrupt it the best I could, every moment of the day. The heard mentality is not my cup of tea.
