As we close out 2019 we’ve got a slew of updates for you all, so let’s get to it!
Current State of Development
-Our public demo release will need to be pushed back just a couple of weeks as we need to nail down some details / optimizations. Originally we wanted to have our public demo completed and out for you all by the end of Q4. We apologize for the delay but it’s extremely important for us to make a great 1st impression once the game is in the hands of the players. 😁
-The video below is a sampling of things we’ve been working on for Cryptonom and the battle system.
Here are some of the current game development elements unrelated to the public demo release:
-Animated effects for tile sets (ie: snow falling, subtle shrubbery movements, etc) to make the Zones feel more alive
-Battle theme music with in / out transitions
-On-going progression board population / implementation
-Finalizing of Hub and implementation of Hub scenes
We will continue to keep the community updated as we move through the development cycle!

Path Founder’s Tokens
Some of you may have noticed a message in our Telegram channel hinting at an airdrop for all Founders:

A long-time associate of the Overseers, one who has developed several scientific breakthroughs within the organization, is said to have gone rogue after the Overseers went ‘too far’ with ‘experimental testing’.
Rumor has it, this previous associate is in possession of valuable supplies that he plans to distribute. No other info is available at this time.

Professor Hooper Backstory
An enigmatic scientist renowned for his achievements in the sciences and studies of NOMs. His brilliance and intellect was matched only by his compassion and philanthropy. Developing an interest in NOMs at an early age, Hooper spent much of his youth interacting and observing the wonderful creatures. Through adulthood, he advocated fiercely for their preservation and would strive to do so even in the toughest of situations.
More recently, the Overseers moved him into a role that involved splicing NOMs using ‘high-risk experimental methods.’ Not much more is known but this move would ultimately lead to his defection from within the Overseers’ organization as it goes against the very core of Professor Hooper’s morals.
Despite his sudden disappearance, his work left a lasting impact on the lives of many; to some, he is even revered as a pioneering figure known throughout the NOM-verse.
Interestingly, hushed stories of Hooper’s continued research can be heard from town-to-town. Some say the Golden Age of NOMs will return with Hooper alongside it. Others say Hooper is now a myth more than a man — An apparition of a beloved point in time.
A common theme shared between these stories, however, is that Hooper discovered a means of creating real NOMs; Perhaps, with some assistance, these stories can become reality.
