I’m no longer Catholic, but I still carry a statue of the Virgin Mary
Jen A. Miller

I’m no longer Catholic either but Mother Mary goes wherever I go. She is a divine feminist (Jesus is also a feminist) among other characteristics and I have felt her loving presence often. The Church has a lot of ugly history and the politics/unequal power drove me away. I’ve kept the saints and much of the sacred mystical theology with its eternal truth and I love some of today’s leaders i.e., Joan Chidister and Richard Rohr with upmost respect and yes this pope is a way forward.
