倘若今天的埃及人再以阿蒙神為尊,意大利人再以羅馬人為祖先,不過是徒增笑料;因為現代埃及人早已從人種上替代了古埃及人,現在的意大利人也是日耳曼人的後代,與古羅馬無關。這些東西看來早已成常識,但是如果告訴你今天的「中國人」以復興「華夏文明」為己任,而且還以一百多年前被草草發明出來的「中華民族」這個概念自居,許多人又情不自禁地被特意植入的感情所迷惑,正所謂「縞素不能自分於緇墨」。

If today’s Egyptians worship Amun again and the Italians regard Romans as their ancestors, it will be nothing but a joke, as modern Egyptians had racially replaced the ancient Egyptians, and modern Italians are the offsprings of Germanic people, which has nothing to do with the Ancient Romans.These things have already been seen as common sense. However, if today’s “Chinese people” are told that they must revive the “Chinese Civilization”, reiterating the notion of the “Chinese Nation” — which was constructed sloppily a little more than a century ago, mind you — many cannot but be intoxicated by the fabricated ethos. As a saying goes, “Pure white clothes cannot keep themselves away from being dyed by dark inks.”

現在,無數考古證據已經充分證明「華夏文明」具有鮮明的外來性質:西亞文明分為兩路,一路由中亞進入黃河流域,一路由南亞進入巴蜀地區,並且各自發展成獨立的文明體系。傳入的途徑不同導致最後的結果也明顯不同:由南亞傳入巴蜀地區的文明技術主要為青銅冶煉和農作物種植,典型代表就是回異於中原文明的巴蜀三星堆文明。這一支傳入的文明以物質生產為主,吸收了南亞的文明生態位和地理環境因素,因此從三星堆文明中我們可以看到精美的青銅器和大型的人口聚集區。但是,國家暴力組織的發育不全是這一支文明的「阿喀琉斯之踵」,加上南亞到四川盆地的技術輸入路線遠不如中亞地區到黃河流域通暢,因此為以後被北方吞併埋下禍根。

Now, countless archaeological evidences have fully proved the foreign origin of the “Chinese Civilization”: Western Asian civilization, taking two separate routes, one from Central Asia into the Yellow River Plain, the other from South Asian into Bashulia, developed into distinctive civilization systems.Different ways of transmission lead to significantly different outcomes: The civilization and techniques entering Bashulia from South Asia is mainly bronze metallurgy and crop cultivation. It is represented by Sanxingdui which is fundamentally different from the civilization in Central China Plain.This branch of civilization mainly consists of material production, which has absorbed the civilizational niche and geographical factors of South Asia, so we see exquisite bronzes and large population accumulation areas in Sanxingdui. Yet undeveloped state violence organizations is the Achilles’ Heel of this civilization. Together with less fluent technical input route from South Asia comparing to that from Central Asia to Yellow River Valley, these factors became source of disasters of being annexed by the North in the future.

與三星堆文明不同,中亞到黃河流域的技術輸入路線接連帶來了中原文明興盛的數個重要技術:

Different from Sanxingdui, the prosperity of Central Plain Civilization is based on several techniques which were transmitted from Central Asia to Yellow River Valley:

一是小麥,甘肅的民樂是最早被發現種植小麥的地方,而世界上所有可被人類種植並有效食用的小麥都起源於西亞,這一重要發現無疑暗示了支撐糧食作物匱乏的中原文明得以追趕上農作物產量高的南方的小麥的最終來源;

First, the wheat. Minyue, Gansu Province is discovered as the earliest place in East Asia to have wheat cultivation, while all cultivable and edible wheats in the world are originated in West Asia. This important discovery suggests the ultimate origin of the wheat, based on which the Central Plain Civilization which was lacking of food crops catched up with South China which had high production of food crops.

二是戰車技術,戰車技術同樣最先起源於西亞,由中亞的遊牧民族學會之後再傳入中原。殷商從西方入主中原憑借的就是無往不利的戰車,宗周滅商,周人和鬼方組成的聯盟同樣用戰車擊敗殷商的部隊,而這個擊敗殷商的聯盟也是出現在殷商的西面,說明瞭與中亞技術輸入路線的密切聯繫;

Second, chariot technology. It is also originated in West Asia; Nomadic peoples in Central Asia spreaded it to the Central Plain after they had mastered the technique.Utilizing the powerful chariots, the Shang people who came from the West conquered the Central Plains. During Zhou people’s triumph over Shang, Zhou and Guifang formed a coalition and used the same chariots to beat Shang. This coalition appeared in the west of Shang, which suggests the close ties of the route of technical input from Central Asia.

三是文字,西亞的楔形文字在公元六千多年前被創造,然後從中亞傳入黃河流域,在公元前三千三百多年左右由殷商使用並形成甲骨文。「倉頡造字」的偽說最早直至春秋戰國時期才被提出,明顯不足為據。

Third, writing system. The Cuneiform was invented in West Asia about 6,000 years ago, and was propagated to Yellow River Valley from Central Asia. Some 3,300 year ago, it was adopted by Shang and the Oracle Script was formed.The false history of “Cangjei’s Creation of the Writing System” was proposed during the Spring and Autumn Period and is without sufficient evidence.

這些技術的出現是文明由部落形態向國家形態轉變的重要標誌,而且中亞的技術輸入路線具有鮮明的暴力特徵,殷商入主中原(所謂的「夏王朝」不過是原始的部落聯盟)和武王伐紂都是中亞民族自西向東的武裝殖民,劇烈的暴力衝突刺激了中原文明的國家暴力組織逐漸發育,而糧食作物產量不高的北方勢必會不斷南下進奪取產糧區。

The emergence of these technologies is an important symbol of transition from tribe to state. And the technical input route from Central Asia was coupled with much violence; the establishment of Shang Dynasty (The so-called “Xia Dynasty” is but a primitive tribal alliance) and Battle of Muye are both armed colonization by Central Asian people from west to east. The intensive violent conflicts stimulated the development of violence organizations of Central Plain civilizations, while the North with low crop production is bound to go southward constantly and seize more grains.

中亞的技術輸入路線對於華夏文明具有無與倫比的重要作用。司馬遷的「夫作事者必於東南,收功實者常於西北」道出了其中的秘訣。春秋戰國時期,秦國與趙國爭先恐後向中亞汲取技術,其中以趙武靈王的「胡服騎射」最為有名,這兩個西北大國靠著接近中亞的技術路線,成為了戰國末期僅存的兩個同等級別的對手,而南方的楚國和東方諸國淪為陪襯。

For the Chinese Civilization, the influence of Central Asian technology input can never be exaggerated.The saying by Sima Qian “Uprisings usually first appeared in the Southeast but the final winners are often from the Northwest” reveals the secret: In Spring and Autumn Period, the states of Qin and Zhao competed in learning techniques from Central Asia, such like “Mouted archery in Babarians’ clothing” by King Wuling of Zhao; The two great powers of the northwest are both close to Central Asian technology input routes and became the only two comparable rivals during late Warring States Period, while the state of Chu and most eastern states became sidekicks.

秦三世而亡之後,漢朝統一了華夏世界,在技術上依然落後於當時的匈奴。當漢武帝看到漢朝使臣帶回來的匈奴寶刀「徑路」之後,大驚失色,因此不得不派遣張騫「鑿空」西域,獲取精鋼的冶煉技術。匈奴對漢朝保持技術優勢的原因就在於,匈奴可以通過中亞的技術輸入路線,獲得西亞地區高超的冶煉產品。與此同時,匈奴的另一大技術優勢就是育馬:優良的馬種必須通過科學的育種才能獲得,這種技術又是東亞地區農耕文明顯然不能獨立掌握的。漢武帝尋求「汗血寶馬」的嘗試,就可以看作東亞農耕文明經中亞向西亞文明學習育馬技術的過程,否則僅憑有限的外來馬匹,在與當地馬種交配繁殖一兩代之後,就會喪失品種優點。

After the summary collapse of Qin, Han Dynasty unified the Cathaysian World, but was still technically underdeveloped comparing to the Huns. Emperor Wu was shocked when he saw the sword of the Huns brought by the envoy and thus had to send Zhang Qian to “penetrate” Central Asia to obtain advanced steel smelting technology. The reason why Huns maintained technological advantages to Han Dynasty was that they obtained superb products from Western Asia through the technical input route from Central Asia.Another big technical advantage of the Huns is horse breeding: Excellent horse breeds can only be obtained through thremmatology, which was impossible for agricultural East Asian civilization to master independently. Emperor Wu of Han’s craving for the Ferghana Horse can be interpreted as a typical process through which agricultural East Asian civilization learned horse breeding techniques from Central Asia, because Ferghana horses, due to their limited numbers, would degrade after mating with local horses after a generation or two.

西亞的侵入者從殷商到宗周,終於形成了較為獨立的華夏文明,在春秋戰國時期走向成熟,最終形成了大一統帝國秦、漢兩朝,最後亡於五胡亂華。這一階段可以視作古典中國由崛起到興盛再到走向衰落的時期。梁元帝無助地向世人吶喊道:「文武之道,今夜盡矣。」這標誌著漢魏帝國道統的正式滅絕,華夏世界完成了成為冬蟲夏草的縱身一躍。

From Shang Dynasty to Zhou Dynasty, the intruder from western Asia finally formed a relatively independent Chinese Civilization which growed mature in the Spring and Autumn Period, later formed unified empires of Qin and Han, and finally died in the “Invasion of Five Major Barbarian Hordes”.This stage can be regarded as the period during which Classical China rose to prosperity and decline.Emperor Yuan of Liang cried to the world in despair:” From tonight, civil and military arts will be no more.”This marks the official end of the legal constitution of Han and Wei empires. China had changed herself into Cordyceps.

隋唐帝國鮮明無疑的胡人血統完成了文化意義和人種意義上的頂替,關隴貴族集團再次扮演了殷商、宗周、秦趙的角色,把控著中亞技術輸入路線,攻取江南產糧區和稅收區。儘管隋唐帝國願意接受華夏文明的洗禮冒名漢姓,但是唐太宗對於「天可汗」稱號的青睞,則無疑流露出胡人草原逐鹿的天性。與以後清帝國的中亞、關內十八省的雙元統治不同,此時的胡人依然視漢人的皇帝為最高貴的桂冠。

The obvious “barbarian” blood lineage of Sui and Tang empires completed the population replacement in senses of culture and race. The Guanlong Aristocratic Group once again played the role of Shang, Zhou, Qin, and Zhao dynasties by controlling the technical input route from Central Asia and conquering agricultural centers and tax resources in the Yangtze Delta.Although rulers of Sui and Tang empires were willing to accept Chinese civilization and use Chinese surnames, Emperor Taizong of Tang’s love for the title “Tengri Khan” undoubtedly reveals the “barbaric” nomad nature; Different from the dual ruling system of Qing Empire on Central Asia and 18 Chinese provinces, at that time, the “barbarians” still regarded Chinese Emperor as the most noble title.

The conquest of barbarians saved Chinese Civilization in her deathbed. Just like as barbarian armies in late Roman Empire who guard garrisons in Britannia and Germanic forests, the barbarian mercenaries that were bribed by the money from the Central Plains and Yangtze Delta enthusiastically fought to the death with China’s neighboring great powers such like Koguryo, Tibet and Abbasid Empire, which was a big step that Classical China had never dreamed of.

中亞技術路線催生了一大批聞名中古的陸地城市,這些城市扮演了後來海洋技術路線催生出來的阿姆斯特丹、拿騷、波士頓、孟買、新加坡、長崎和泉州的角色。這些城市就是大馬士革、巴格達、利沃夫、撒馬爾罕和於闐等。最後一波中亞技術輸入的高潮就是蒙元帝國的崛起,它攻滅了南宋,但是為同樣自唐朝藩鎮割據後就逐漸衰落的華夏文明帶來了海量的技術輸入。天文學(回回歷)、軍事技術(回回炮,阿拉伯火器)、數學(《四元玉鑒》)均出現了突飛猛進的進步。

The Central Asian technical input routes brought about a large number of famous medieval inland cities, which are Damascus, Baghdad, Lviv, Samarkand, Khotan and so on. These cities played the same role of the ports that developed in Age of Sail, like Amsterdam, Nassau, Boston, Bombay, Singapore, Nagasaki and Quanzhou.The final wave of Central Asian technical input reached its climax with the rise of the Yuan Empire which conquered Southern Song Dynasty and yet brought a flood of technologies into Chinese Civilization which had been declining since late Tang Dynasty. Astronomy (Anno Hegirae, or Islamic calendar), military technologies (Islamic artillery, Arabic firearms), mathematics (Jade Mirror of the Four Unknowns, 四元玉鑒) made great progress.

這場外來技術的輸入造成的震蕩,在明朝還有餘力。但是蒙元帝國本身就吸收了歐洲和近東地區的先進技術,追隨蒙元的士兵囊括了基督徒、穆斯林,見識過成熟文明後的蒙元帝國,自然不會對華夏文明產生熱情。冬蟲夏草一般的華夏文明為蠻族所追捧,又為蠻族所拋棄,標誌著蠻族中國的終結。

This strong technical flow retained its influence even in Ming Dynasty.However, as the Mongolian Yuan Empire had already absorbed the technologies from Europe and Near East, and its soldiers encompass Christians and Muslims. The Mongolian Yuan Empire lost enthusiasm for Chinese Civilization after knowing higher civilizations in other parts of the world.The Cordyceps-like Chinese Civilization had been highly looked upon by barbarians, and abandoned later, which marks the end of the barbarians-ruled China.

明朝的出現,表面上是華夏文明重新奪回了東亞地區的主導權,實際上標誌著華夏文明凝結核的解體。朱元璋從最卑微的角色一躍成為華夏世界的主宰,本身就說明瞭華夏文明的士族階層整體的萎靡。此後朱元璋在全國實行亞述式的大流放,摧毀各個地區的儒式大家族所帶來的潛在威脅,在暫時確保了明帝國政權統治的同時,也為明帝國的覆滅埋下了禍根;明帝國致力於在經濟上摧毀潛在的社會不穩定因素,因為任何經濟上的進步都會危及明帝國的統治。終明一代,與倭寇的長期戰爭,就是中央集權統治與富裕地區的內戰。

The emergence of Ming Dynasty looks as if Chinese Civilization regained the initiative of East Asia, yet in fact, it marks the disintegration of the nucleuses of Chinese Civilization.The success of Zhu Yuanzhang rose to supremacy from a street beggar shows that the perish of aristocratic class of China. Zhu then made massive exiles as the Assyrian Empire did, in order to destroy any potential threats by Confucianist large families and clans, which temporarily ensured his regime but also laid the seeds of doom for the empire. All potential social instability was destroyed economically, since any economic progress will endanger the absolute rule of the Ming Empire.The long war between Ming Dynasty and the “Japanese Pirates”(Wokou) was actually a civil war between central authority and rich regions.

明朝北方邊界的內縮與「天子守國門」的尷尬在於,明帝國知道控制中亞技術輸入路線的益處,但是技術輸入帶來的負面效果,也會危及華夏文明本身的正統性。因此它選擇了坐困東亞,向西南進軍,奪取土司手中的未開發地帶,以擴大稅源,供養大批軍隊,對抗日益強大的北方強敵。

The dilemma between retracted northern borders and “The emperor defends the frontier” doctrine was that the Ming Empire knew the benefits of the Central Asian technical input route, but the input will have negative effects on legitimacy of Chinese Civilization itself. So the Ming Dynasty chose to keep itself isolated in East Asia and march into its southwest regions to seize more wealth, which was then used to support a larger army against the increasingly stronger northern enemies.

隨著大航海線路的開闢,中亞技術輸入路線衰落,海上技術輸入路線崛起。對於葡萄牙火槍和佛郎機火炮的依賴,使明帝國意外地為今後統治華夏的女真部落充當了海洋技術輸入路線在東亞的落腳點。當女真人擊潰明軍獲得歐洲火器的東亞仿製版之後,明帝國旋即跌入深淵。

At this time, as the shipping lines were opened up during Great Voyages which led to the rise of marine technical input line and the decline of Central Asian technical input route, the Ming Empire began to rely on Portuguese matchlocks and European style muzzle-loading cannons, which were later captured by Jurchen-Manchu forces. When Jurchens obtained the European firearms, the Ming Empire soon fell.

清帝國繼承了蒙元帝國的衣鉢,完成了雙元中國的角色轉換。清朝皇帝一面以中國皇帝的身份統治關內十八省,利用江南的糧食與稅源供養八旗精銳士兵,而漢人組成的綠營不過是偽軍和治安部隊的另一種稱呼;另一方面清朝皇帝必須以可汗的身份威懾蒙古諸部和內亞民族,清朝與蒙古、吐蕃和西域的關係,從來不同於關內十八省一樣的統治與被統治關係,而是基於草原規則建立起來的聯盟。平定大小金川、屠滅准噶爾和收復尼布楚的重要性,遠超過奪取台灣,前者事關內亞可汗的身份,後者若沒有海洋路線作為倚靠,其重要性不會超過紅溪的華人,無需中央朝廷操心。

The Qing Empire inherited the legacy of the Mongolian Yuan Empire and completed a transformation into a dual ruling system.One one hand, the Emperor ruled the 18 Chinese provinces in the name of Chinese Emperor; Bannermen were raised by resources from the Yangtze Delta while “Green Banner” which were composed of Han Chinese were mere puppets and security forces. On the other hand, the Emperor deterred Mongolian tribes and other Inner Asian peoples from Khan’s throne; the relationship between the Qing Dynasty and Mongolians, Tibetans and Turks was never the same as it was with Chinese provinces, but confederacies and leagues built according to customary laws of the Great Steppe.The Suppression of the Jinchuan hill peoples, the Campaigns against the Dzungars and the pacification of Xinjiang, the Qing siege of the Cossack fort of Albazin, these campaigns are far more important than the Pacification of Taiwan. Because the former can secure or shake the throne of a Inner Asian Khan, but the latter(Taiwan), in consideration of Qing Empire’s negligence of maritime transport routes, had no more importance than the 1740 Batavia massacre, and therefore not worthy of the attention of the Imperial Court.

滿清雙元中國的終結,必須歸功於「帝國主義」在廣州、香港和上海建立的一系列貿易自由市,以及日本的崛起。他們為漢族革命者們提供了革命基地和資金技術支持,華夏文明終於擺脫了中亞技術輸入路線帶來的北部壓力,通過更為便捷的海洋貿易路線對抗內亞侵略者。但是,內亞帝國的長期佔據,帶來了大一統集權統治的劣質基因,使華夏子民們無法像自由世界的人們那樣,擁抱自由的海洋和憲制,而是再次走向內亞征服者的歷史軌跡,進行大一統戰爭。海洋文明的憲制無法提供大一統集權統治的內在動力,因此華夏子民吸收了列寧主義的組織資源,走向了世界文明的歧途。列寧中國誕生了。

The end of Manchu-Qing Dual-rule in China was attributed to the “imperialist” trade posts in Guangzhou, Hong Kong, Shanghai, and the rise of Japan. Together they provided financial and technical aid for revolutionary bases for the Han Chinese revolutionists, and thus the Chinese Civilization finally got rid of the Northern pressure caused by Central Asian technical input, and fight against Inner Asian invaders with the help of maritime trade routes. However, the bad genes of unified totalitarianism produced by long-term rule of Inner Asian empires made Chinese people unable to embrace the constitution and freedom like peoples of the free world, but continued wars in order to make tyrannical unification, like the Inner Asian conquers did.The constitution of maritime civilization cannot provide the intrinsic motivation for unified totalitarian rule, therefore the Chinese people chose Leninism and went to the wrong path, again. Leninist China was born.

列寧中國的誕生|Birth of the Communist China

如果沒有蘇聯的插手,顢頇的廣州革命政府顯然無法發動全民總體戰來摧毀北洋軍閥;聯省自治本來是華夏文明凝結核自我修復的難得機會,結果孫中山飲鴆止渴地引入蘇式列寧政黨架構重組國民黨。堅持國族主義的國民黨只是共產黨的 alpha 版本,因此注定會輸給更加列寧化的中國共產黨。列寧式的組織結構摧毀了幾乎全部的社會凝結核,創造出了一個沒有中間階層、只有嚴密統治機器和散沙化平民的費拉社會。如果沒有八十年代初美國、英國、法國、西德和日本對華夏文明大力的技術輸入和資金援助,1979年以後的華夏文明注定會成為蘇聯的加盟國之一,或是提早走向崩潰。

Without the interference of the Soviet Union, the muddleheaded Guangzhou Revolutionary Government would have had no chance to launch a total war and destroy the Northern Warlords. The Federalism Movement could have been a rare opportunity for local elites to heal, but Sun Yat-sen suicidally introduced Soviet-Leninism to reorganize Kuomintang. The nationalist Kuomintang was merely the alpha version of the Communist Party, so it lost fatefully to its more Leninist counterpart. Leninist organizations are all about destroying the society’s “ringleaders” and therefore creating an atomized society without middle class but only ruthless governments and unorganized masses. Without the decisive technical and financial aids of United States, Britain, France, West Germany and Japan in early 1980s, China would have no choice but to either collapse or become a republic of the USSR after 1979.

伊戰黃金十年,給了華夏世界最後的轉型機會。而現在的 TPP-TISA-TTIP 三協議,標誌著威爾遜世界已經永遠對其關上了大門。隨著福山預言的「歷史的終結」被證偽,西方文明世界內部的共同體問題愈演愈烈,西歐難民問題和俄羅斯在烏克蘭和敘利亞的軍事冒險構,成了對自由世界的新挑戰;新羅馬帝國只有克服了自身共同體邊界的問題,才能真正走向世界帝國之巔。在這個過程中,由伊拉克、敘利亞自由軍和庫爾德武裝組成的鐵三角會遏制住西進的 IS 政權,導致其被迫東移,侵入到東方那兩個只剩下軀殼的龐大國家。

The ten years since the Iraq War has given China the last precious opportunity to change herself; Now the combination of TPP-TISA-TTIP agreements marks the decisive closing of the door of the Wilson World for China.The “End of history” theory by Fukuyama was falsified, the problems of communities in the Western world became more serious. The Refugees Crisis in Western Europe and Russia’s military adventure in Syria and Ukraine became new challenges to the free world; US, the new Roman Empire, can only become the real world empire after she forms clear boundary of her communities.In this process, the triad of Iraq, Free Syrian Army and the Kurdish militaries will curb ISIS from going westward and drive it eastward into the two great eastern states, now empty shells of their former selves: Iran and China.

The new world war is in the making: The Islamic State is practicing their Dabiq apocalypse prophecy; battles will be waged from the Tigris River to the Potomac River. Boston, London, Paris and Brussels have already become the front line.This is a war that will crush empires of the old world. So if China wants to avoid the repeating grim fate of cults, roving bandits and despots, the only choice is to discover and build new communities before it’s too late.

These new communities must get out of the curse of the Chinese historical cycle and establish a multinational world — Inner Asian and Cathaysian Nations.There used to be many prosperous independent civilizations in East Asian continent such as Bashulia, Goetsu, Hakkan, Yehetishland and so forth.Although these civilizations have wilted after long unified autocracy, the seeds of civilizations are still in hibernation, and only the ones with free souls can awaken them. Nations don’t create states, states create nations. If a group of freedom-loving people want to build a new community, they will look back into history, pick up the abandoned identities and start summoning people with a new creed.
