As you also read this, another couple has also moved into a one bedroom apartment but are not happy about it. They do not understand how God let this happen. Aren’t they the same ones that were living in a 4 bedroom apartment, and in a breathtaking surroundings? They have been hit by the reality that they can no longer afford to live like they lived before. They are on their downward trajectory financially and can not help it. In the coming months no friends would be invited because this new reality is sad, embarrassing and isolation is a better option. They have too knelt to talk to God, but in the midst of tears asking God to take them back where they were.

As you are reading this a girl has landed a job after years of searching. It is her dream job and cannot wait to begin working. Her parents have given her their blessings and asked her to work hard. Her heart is full with happiness and gratitude and only envisioned for a bright future.

As you also read this, another girl has landed the same job. Though she is grateful for getting the job it opens a new reality to her. Her business that she had built for years collapsed, got auctioned because of her increasing bills and here she is. Not a boss. Under authority. Forced to take a lower income. She doesn’t understand how God let this happen to her but it’s happening. All she is questioning God is, until when God? When is this suffering coming to an end? How do I start my business again from zero? And where will I get the capital? Where did I go wrong?

As you are reading this a man has walked into a barber shop and asked for a hair cut. He has had dreadlocks for a long time, long than he can remember. But now it is time to say goodbye to them and get a new look. He is excited. He can’t wait for his girlfriend’s reaction. His mom has always asked him to get rid of the locks and be more presentable. Today is the day he has chosen to make his mom happy.

As you are reading this also, a man has walked into a barber shop. He has had his dreadlocks since he was 20 years. He is now 43. These dreadlocks are part of his identity. But he can not keep them longer. He has not chosen to say goodbye to them but he has to.The animal that is cancer is dictating this and it’s time. Chemotherapy has no mercy on his hair and a bald head would now be his identity. He can’t stop wondering where he went wrong. Is it because of his sins that he is suffering like this ? Has God disowned him as one of his children? He cannot understand and will never understand. He only has to accept his new reality.

Count your blessings each and everyday and praise God for them. However remember your blessings maybe the biggest trouble someone else is facing. Your blessings could be the very thing your friend is fasting and praying God gets rid of it in their lives. Your current situation that you think is an answered prayer could be the very thing your neighbour is crying to God about. But celebrate anyway. It’s your blessings to celebrate.

Cry to God to change every situation you are not comfortable with. Tell God every condition you wish would be different. Your situation could be the very situation your friend has been asking God for. Your biggest trouble could be the biggesblessinggs somebody has or is asking God for. Cry to God anyway. Let him get rid of that which is troubling your life.

As the size of our figures are different so are our troubles and blessings. Embrace each one of them accordingly.
