I recall the same feeling as you. While others were giggling and saying how funny it was Trump was running, I was getting that Bad Feeling that this was Not Funny At All. They dismissed his larval candidacy as mere entertainment. They continued to see him as “entertainment” and seemed to think classifying him as such was really enough rather than gathering forces to things they really believed in. So many people did this that… we are where we are today. As Trump would say, “Sad!”
