Thanks for your response. Regarding Hyper’s underlying technology — yes, it does share much in common with VS Code. Both VS Code (the entire program, not just the terminal), and Hyper are built using electron-(JS, CSS, HTML wrapper for cross-platform GUI desktop applications).

Regarding your comment about not being a fan of the level of customization outlined within the article due to it being too difficult to setup and maintain — I would actually postulate that the setup outlined in the article is easier to setup and maintain than the list of individual tweaks described in your comment.
Hi Zack — I used chunkwm for around a year- it’s great. My only issue with chunk vs. the solution outlined within this article is that there were cases where I just didn’t want a window manager always on. Sure, chunk can be turned off — but it can be a bit tedious turning it on and off as frequently as I needed to.
