On A Train

This weekend I got to come home. It was a short visit and on sad terms but I’m so happy I got to spend time with friends and family to help encourage me.

Tonight I’m on a train from 7:24pm-7:51am (ish) and headed back to Michigan.

It’s been a long and tiring ride.

For the past hour or two I haven’t been able to sleep because my legs are restless and ache.

(And for the past few days I’ve been down in the dumps and kinda stressed.)

Anyway, I decided to get up to go to the bathroom and walk around so my legs would settle down. On my way to the bathroom a lady looked at me and said "wow you’re gorgeous, she’s so beautiful, God bless you sister. Are you suffering?" Then boldly proceeded to tell me of her love for God and how He has healed me and He has rescued me and that I can rest in Him and never hurt. She hugged me and layed hands on me.

Another man came by and joined the conversation. He also had a strong love for God. He asked me where I’m from and where I was going and I explained to him what I’ve been training for and what I’m about to do. He spoke super encouraging words to me and told me that I’m gonna make an impact and how he wishes he could go back and change how he lived at my age. He thanked me for what I’m doing and left.

The woman was a little flamboyant. She spontaneously prayed and spoke in tongues at random moments but I’m telling you, when she layed her hands on me and prayed, my legs instantly stopped hurting. It’s so crazy how God places people in your life at the right moments. Before I went to the bathroom I prayed and asked God to help calm my legs and ease my pain so I could rest and He did. I’m blown away. God works in the craziest of ways. I’m so boggled right now.

I’m so thankful for the people who aren’t afraid to boldly proclaim Jesus’ name and tell of how great He is.

I pray that there will be more people like this who aren’t afraid to talk with strangers and pray with them.

Change starts in us and it will only happen with boldness and strength that we find in Christ.
