Changing my own habits to change the world

“Be the change that you wish to see in the world” said Mahatma Gandhi.

For as long as I remember I always wanted a job in which I could change the world. Recently, I had to check myself and make sure that I was practicing the ideals that I was preaching in interviews.

If money makes the world go `round, where was my money going?

I work at a membership consortium of social entrepreneurs, so I am learning on a daily basis that there are great alternative options to goods and services that are made in more ethically responsible ways.

I am starting this blog to track my journey in discovering a new way to live. Is it affordable to live ethically? Or are we trapped in world where every purchase we make as moderate earners perpetuates a system of oppression?
