Their (ISP companies’ and FCC’s ) position on this matter is misguided regurgitation of propaganda aimed at shifting public opinion towards the removal of ISPs from Title II. Read Title II, then the history of why we actually had to classify them this way in the first place. Just because the government isn’t regulating something doesn’t mean that regulation stops. It just becomes regulated by the company aka self-regulated. Protection from consumer = gone, will of company to act against its consumers without oversight or penalty = fair game. So it depends, as a consumer of the internet service industry, who do you want protecting the consumer?
