1 week ago today, I began my journey into Actualize. I had no idea what to expect from an online school, and all i had was 1 semester of computer science at my local JC under my belt. 1 week later i’m feeling like the world of coding and computer information is becoming much clearer. I did some fiddling around with c++ and that was really fun, but not the web design I was looking for. See, I’ve got a startup company idea that is 100% web-user oriented, so I need to learn full-stack if I want to do it all myself. Which is seeming to become a reality!
So far we’ve talked about…
Code flow
Hashes vs. Arrays
Github repositories
HTML and CSS
OOP — Object Oriented Programming
Ruby Methods
Apple Terminal commands and how to run local server
After learning things this way, it sure beats waiting around a week for the next class so I can ask a question…
