You’re right…but there’s a cost to this. Lonzo could have done the normal thing, signed some endorsements with Nike or whoever, and probably pocketed a cool $20 or so million in five years just from that deal if he’s as good as advertised. THEN, you’ve got all three brothers in the NBA (presumably), and you’re free to gamble with a bit of backing already. Instead, he’s on an all or nothing prop. And if he isn’t as good as advertised this is a flame out either way.
