ABA Blueprint: Our Work Continues

Interested in becoming an ABA Blueprint Provider for solo/small firm attorneys?

A little over a year ago, the American Bar Association and CuroLegal developed and launched ABA Blueprint as a new way to help solo and small law firm lawyers connect with the tools they need to run their practices. We are very grateful for the support of the concept — both from the actual user perspective and the law practice management community.

Now, 30,000 users later (and a bit of teasing — here and here), we are ready to get the ball rolling on the next iteration of ABA Blueprint to expand the offering.

The next version will be available for ABA Members in August/September 2018. In the meantime, we are opening up Blueprint to any provider who is serious about serving solo and small firm lawyers. Blueprint is not just a fancy bar association discount program — it is a law practice management tool to help modernize solo and small law firms, as well as a community to support those efforts.

So, what’s new? Lots.

• We are launching a private Blueprint Provider Slack Community where legal tech, marketers, consultants and bar leaders can collaborate, share announcements, and learn about what is happening with new features/announcements for Blueprint.
• We are introducing a consumer ratings system where Blueprint users will provide feedback on participating providers.
• The recommended solutions will be accompanied by content and best practices from bar groups, vendors and third-party publications to help better inform the user on what they need to run a modern law practice.
• The new Blueprint tech infrastructure will leverage artificial intelligence (and soon blockchain) to support these new features and future offerings.
