This article was written especially for our CCInsider subscribers from Russia, Kazakhstan and other countries where Telegram sometimes or all time is being blocked. According to the latest news, FSSCITMM (Federal Service for Supervision of Communications, Information Technology and Mass Media) may soon block Telegram on the territory of the Russian Federation and Kazakhstan will follow them as usual.
Below you can find two options for desktop Telegram and one option for Android mobile Telegram:
For desktop Telegram:
Option 1
VPN tools.
Using google you can find a lot of VPN tools which can help you to bypass the Internet blocking at all, i.e. all blocked websites in your country (like YouTube, Facebook, VK and etc.)
In this article I will post step-by-step guide for only one my favorite VPN tool — Windscribe. Windscribe has free version with 10Gb traffic limit per month. I suppose 10Gb is pretty enough, but if you need more you can buy paid version with unlimited traffic for around 4$ per month (price of the Internet freedom).
So, just download Windscribe from official website and install it on your PC.
The rest is quite easier:
1. Choose Best location (by default) or any other available location from the list of VPN servers.
2. Press VPN turn on button and wait for connection.
3. After successful connection turn off Firewall, otherwise Internet will be blocked.
4. And thats all — Long live free internet!

Option 2
SOCKS5 protocol in Telegram.
SOCKS5 network protocol allows you to seamlessly transfer data from the client to the server. The function already exists in Telegram for Windows and macOS. In the near future it will appear in mobile versions of the messenger.
How to configure SOCKS5 protocol in Telegram:
1. Open settings of the Telegram desktop version and find “Advanced Settings”.
2. Change Connection type to “TCP with custom socks5-proxy”.
3. Enter proxy-server address and port. I recommend you use proxy of USA, Germany, Sweden or Great Britain.
4. Then put a tick on “Try connecting through IPv6” and save the settings.

Android mobile version of the Telegram:
It’s even easier to bypass the Internet blocking via the mobile device, besides you can use not only Telegram, but also can have access to unavailable websites in your region. Unfortunately, since I’m android device owner cant recommend you any good VPN app for iOS.
For Android devices:
Download “Orbot” app to you mobile device.

1. Run Orbot app.
2. And thats all. You can just turn on VPN Mode (center right).
3. The start button should be pressed automatically after the VPN mode is enabled.
4. Also you can choose any other proxy-server. Tap on “Global (Auto)” and choose the country from the list.
5. To completely close the application, click on the three dots in the upper right corner of the screen and tap “Exit”, after turning off the “VPN mode” and clicking on the “STOP” button.
