I could agree with a lot of this, until:
“ For the purposes of this venture, what does it mean to be conservative? I would return to basics: a belief in fiscal conservatism, smaller government, support for business, support for trade, and a strong military.”
Where in that idea of ‘conservative’ is the individual, the American citizen? “Support for business” means corporations before people; “support for trade” means trans-national corporations before American interests; “a strong military” means military adventurism for the sake of outrageous corporate profits before investments in infrastructure, schools, fundamental science research, international diplomacy, taking care of the poorest and weakest among us.
Why on earth would anyone want to hear more about an agenda that wants to immiserate the American people for the sake of corporate/FinSec greed?
