Hi guys! It’s me, Rina, with a new interesting place to visit today! Hope all of you are doing well ♡
To begin with, I visited this place almost a year ago, so I might not remember it all that well, but… I remember that I really liked it! As a foreigner, I don’t know if this place is popular, but found it by chance, so I guess it’s not that well known among guests of the city.
The Museum of Modern Art was established in 2005, and is located in Warsaw, on Wybrzeże Kościuszkowskie 22 street.
The museum is small and contemporary, located in a beautiful place, and has a vibrant community and friendly staff. Inside, there’s one large exhibition space. There’s also a bookshop inside the museum; Most of the artists presented are Polish, and their works are very unusual, even somewhat dark at times (it’s modern art, after all!). Get ready, as it will take you about an hour to see everything, but believe me, it’s worth it! The current exhibition (finishing on July 16), called “No Master Territories: Feminist Worldmaking and the Moving Image”, is dedicated to film and video work about women, made by women, so the topic is mainly feminism. “It comprises stylistically diverse works of non-fiction, including documentaries, experimental films, video art, educational films, and essay films. The creators of the works come from many different geographical contexts: North and South America, Asia, Australia, Western Europe, and countries of the former Eastern bloc. The films and videos presented were created mainly between the 1970s and the 1990s, at a time when women’s liberation movements sprang up around the world. “
The exhibition sheds light on such important topics as the feminist movement, femininity and womanhood in general, including body image, sexuality, prosperity, emancipation, and the place of women in the world. In my opinion, this exhibition might be of much interest, even though I’ve only yet to see it (planning to revisit the museum soon!), so come see it and leave your reviews!

The museum also has a discount for students, that’s why I highly recommend visiting it sometime! The summer holidays are pretty soon, so spare some time to enjoy modern art ❀
Until next week! See you!
