Exposing the Agenda of Moms for Liberty, LaVerna in the Library, Mary in the Library, and yes, our local cult, Safe Library Books for Kids-Arkansas
It doesn’t take a psychologist to see the projection that various far-right religious-based groups are imposing on minorities. Under the guise “protect the kids” and “no pornography in the library,” these groups have gained steam. These disinformation campaigns are damaging communities here in Arkansas, in Florida, in Utah, and beyond. There is also evidence that Moms for Liberty and other similar groups are not grassroots at all, as they like to claim. Big conservative donors are fueling the movement. In fact, the Moms for Liberty — Florida chapter has been linked to the wife of the chair of Florida’s Republican party.
We have stumbled upon a cache of information related to the “book reviews” these far-right groups are sharing among each other. This is just speculation, but our guess is the people in these groups pushing the reviews haven’t even read the books; they’re just going off of cherry-picked parts of books in the reviews. All of our evidence suggests that these groups are getting their reviews and information directly from Moms for Liberty, but there are gaps in our evidence. Who is feeding Moms for Liberty this agenda, and why?
Regardless, we wanted our readers to see what we have seen. It cannot be hushed and pushed aside.
There is a new Ratings System being pushed by these groups (for profit, at that). Where did it come from and what is it based on?
It is apparent that this rating system is rooted in anti-First Amendment sentiment: pro-family, pro-state, pro-Christianity, pro-moral relativism, and pro-biological sex. However, it is unclear why pro-transgender is included in the “1” column; perhaps it is just a typo.
These books we’ve been fighting for all these months are being attacked based on religious overreach. It is a way for M4L and other far-right groups to impose their religion on EVERYONE, not just their own families.
