I Am A Cyclist, And I Am Here To Fuck You Up

I am a cyclist, and I’m just heading to work just like you. It doesn’t bother me that you’re in a car. I know that I’m a vehicle according to the law, just like you, and that I need to follow the same rules of the road that you do. And so I do that. If I’m riding in the middle of the lane, it’s usually to avoid people opening their car doors into my path, so please be patient if you need to pass me. (I’d prefer it if there were a bike lane or cycle track so that we didn’t have to share the same lane, but unfortunately a lot of the time that’s not the case.) I try to be courteous to everyone else on the road and let my intentions be known. I’ll signal my turns, and will try to make sure that you see me if I’m coming up alongside you in slow or stopped traffic. If you’re turning right and I’m behind you, I’ll patiently wait or pass you on the left. I yield to pedestrians who have the right of way and always stop at red lights. I know that traffic is stressful for everyone, and it can be chaotic out there sometimes, but my goal is to have a nice day, and I hope you have one too.
