Yes, this is the ONLY way I’ve been successful at losing any weight when I’m living in the U.S. It IS annoying, but it’s totally worth it. You can view it from a different perspective as a means of empowerment. You are less a slave to your cravings. That’s what I’m choosing to do. The only other times I’ve lost weight (besides consistent tracking one time several years ago) has been when I was living overseas without a car — walking, biking and public transporting everywhere. Oh, and yes, the time I got malaria. That counts, doesn’t it? Good luck! I’m cheering you on!
