It’s not the speed that I’m worried about with a browser app, it’s the mental context. I feel a lot more comfortable doing real work in a desktop app, in part because it feels so heavy and permanent. I used to like spinning up Word or Pages, and part of me misses having desktop apps for dedicated tasks.
