So you had a dream the other night, and when you woke up, you decided to become a blogger. Trust me, it happens with a lot of us. How on earth do I know it? Because it happened with me too, when I realized that the articles I was writing for another blog, could be used for my own blog, I mean, people loved my writings.
But the only thing that went wrong with my first blog was, I did not pay much attention to the tools which help grow a blog.
I was told by a lot of bloggers to use them, but I was too reluctant as, apparently, I was quite sure that my 1100 something FACEBOOK friends would be enough to get things started. The idea soon crashed on the ground horribly as I could not get even a 1000 viewers by the end of the week. The reason being, nobody really has that much time to open a blog and scroll through your articles, those who do, they would come once and slowly their probability of returning diminishes.
Therefore, it becomes quite vital that you rely on the important tools that would help you get the results you have always desired.
First things first, if you are looking for ways to monetize your blog or your website, you should go to HOW TO BECOME RICH WITH BLOGGING, I have mentioned a lot of ways for monetizing your blog, so I won’t becovering that in this article.
So coming back to topic, I am going to mention 5 important steps you need to take from the very get go:
You might already be knowing about some or all of these tools, but there might be chances that you do not pay much attention to them, mind you, in the later run of the blogging game, these things do matter, a lot.
I’ll be Starting with SEO, for this is the most important thing to pay attention to. SEO stands for SEARCH ENGINE OPTIMIZATION, it basically deals with how well your posts are and how they are ranked on different search engines.
For your content to be shown on top, you have to work very hard on your posts, and it involves a lot of complex processes like getting the right meta tags, right keywords, right search description, and a lot more things which are very difficult to manage during the initial stages of blogging, but if you are reading this article, I am telling you my friend, you have to take care of this thing.
Not that because of this you should leave your natural sense of writing, never do that. I still write as I feel like, but because I am experienced enough in this, I know how to manage my SEO.
Why did I mention custom domain here? Well, for some strange reasons, google gives priority to the blogs or websites having a custom domain. Plus it is always better to get a custom domain, it makes sense, how?
Answer my question:
What would you most likely type?
If your answer is 1, then you are probably a friend of mine, or are too damn free in life to type a million letter long URL.
I hope I made my point clear.
And buying a custom domain is not that expensive either, read the article from above, that would help you getting your own domain easily.
If you want to know more about the SEO, and if you need tips for that, you can comment below or ask me on my EMAIL.
And don’t start worrying too much about SEO either, it is a slow process which you for sure would learn as time passes.
2.BACKLINKS: Backlinks are very important to drive important and related traffic to your blog. You should try really hard to get as much backlinks as possible. But those backlinks should be from some good website. A backlink from a reputed website would help you gain quality traffic, moreover your search rankings would also increase, thereby increasing your chances of getting ORGANIC TRAFFIC
But getting backlinks is not as easy at it sounds, I would make a seperate article which would describe all the tricks to getting backlinks easily, so tune in for that, it will come real soon.
3.GUEST POSTING: Guest posting is more or less a give and take deal. you write on some other person’s blog, or a forum,or a website, giving them your quality content, and in return, you get traffic from their relative platforms. This is a very genuine and effective practice in blogging and you should start doing it from the very beginning. Try to find blogs and forums of your own niche and post your articles there. If your niche is health, target those websites which deal with health products, gym accessories, dieting tips etc.
For me, it is the most important thing. Analytics, the google analytics here, is an essential tool to monitor your audience. It has an infinite amount of value it provides to your blog, to that extent that it might take you some days to get the hang of it.
With google analytics, you can monitor your viewers, their locations, what they are watching right now, whether a person is a male or a female, which browser they are using, which device they are using, whether it is a returning viewer or a new one, whether today was better than yesterday in terms of viewcount of not, and a lot of other features. For me,analytics is important as I know what content to publish at what time.
If you haven’t done it yet, go SIGN UP from right here for analytics before reading this further, go, I’ll wait for you to return.
Ever wondered that you could send custom notifications to people? You can get a free account from the above link which allows for 500 subscribers you can send an infinite number of push notifications too.
I know people must have told you to get email subscribers for you, but tell me one thing, how many of people do you think check their emails regularly? And among those who do, how many of them open the “social” tab of their inbox? And among those who do, how many of them would actually open the notification to visit your blog? I answer it for you,
And what is more real time like? An email or a notification in your notification drawers just like the photo above?
I don’t think I need to answer that.
So these were some important things you should consider when starting your journey. If you have managed to read this till the end, I would like to ask you one thing, it took me a lot of time to make this article, while it will take you 5 seconds to subscribe to me and hit a like from above, can you do that? For sure you can, why won’t you, you are a nice human being after all.
