Kevin Talbot, the CFO

“ I believe the Cecil Alliance project is a breakthrough in many aspects. From the functional aspect, for humans and animals, by providing the technology to create and maintain high integrity data through blockchain an IoT. For the blockchain industry, by bringing real mass market adoption. From a conceptual point of view, by implementing the ideas to create benefits, ownership beyond what is conventionally thought to be the norm. All of that, with the purpose of benefiting humans and animals, in order to make this place a better place to live in. Who wouldn’t love to be a part of that?” Kevin Talbot, CFO

Kevin brings 3 sets of valuable experiences and knowledge to the Cecil Alliance Foundation

1/ Portfolio Manager at BitSpread, a Cryptocurrency Hedge Fund. This gave Kevin a good grasp of how to navigate this difficult to access space. Also, with exposure to a large number of ICOs, Kevin gained significant knowledge of crypto-related topics such as tokens economics, token utility and valuation.

2/ Multi Asset Derivatives experiences, as an Exotic Interest Rates Structurer at Credit Suisse and Derivatives Trader at Nomura in London. Those experiences provided Kevin a deep understanding of complex financial products, trading and financial markets.

3/ Corporate Treasurer at the headquarters of multinationals (Saint Gobain, L’Oreal, ArcelorMittal). Those experiences brought him practical experiences of hedging, financing, cash management and liquidity management for public corporate entities.

As such, we are thrilled to have Kevin joining our team, as he brings to the Cecil Alliance Foundation specialized financial knowledge and institutional experiences from traditional finance as well as the crypto world. His mission is to maximize the utility and value of the token and guarantee the financial safety of the organisation.

Kevin is a graduate from London Business School and CFA Charterholder. He is a devoted martial art practitioner, keen doodler and would like to help, through the Cecil Alliance foundation project, help making this world a better place to live in.

Our new BDM Europe Dennis Nagel

„Can you remember the 80s, early 90s? We had no internet or mobile phones. Nowadays, everybody is walking around with a multimedia smartdevice in their pocket, ready to record high resolution videos or access almost any information and connect around the world in milliseconds. The industrial landscape changed as well. Top 5 of the largest companies in the world all come from the IT sector: Apple, Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Facebook. Now, if we look at the animal sector: many parts of it still feel like the 80s, early 90s. I’m convinced the IoT blockchain solutions of Cecil Alliance are capable to bring a disruptive innovation into the animal sector. Businesswise, the Cecil Alliance Platform could become animal-Google and the Cecil token animal-bitcoin. Even though animals are left behind too often, all sections of animal industries combined amount to nearly a trillion USD market. But the most important thing: we can achieve this growth by doing something positive, protecting wildlife and enhancing animal welfare. This is what distinguishes Cecil Alliance from every other crypto project out there and that’s why I’m proud to be a part of this change.“ Dennis Nagel, BDM

Business development manager Asia: Qing, Wang

Wang, Qing embodies the connecting link between IoT-blockchain technology and the animal sector. As a dedicated conservationist, she looks back to plenty experiences in species preservation projects around the world. She is a certified expert in aviculture and collected hands-on experiences with some of the rarest and most endangered animals in the world. Working as a zoo consultant, she earned herself a reputation, especially in Asia. Furthermore, she gathered profound knowledge and extended networks in pet- and veterinary supplies as well as the animal feed industry.

This background predestintes her to enforce the expansion of Cecil Alliance and arrange the real-world implementation of the products. Therefore, she establishes official and business relations in the animal sector and consults in using Cecil solutions. Customer networks get managed by her both administratively and operationally on-site. Her industry competence helps Cecil developments to adapt to customer requirements and ensure feasibility. Moreover, she optimizes internal workflows and engages herself in Public Relations focused on the Asian markets and global interconnecting. As Cecil representative, she will not only build the bridge between East and West, but also between the digital world and the animal world.

Our new BDM Asia Qing, Wang

„Cecil Alliance is a gamechanger. The transparent and fraud-proof character of the blockchain will have a significant impact against wildlife smuggle. It prevents document forgery, so it will be impossible to export or import endangered species and related products by using falsified papers. Of course, this also means a strike against corruption. I feel honored to be part of these innovative developments and being able to change the prospects of so many animals for the better.“ Wang, Qing, BDM.

Business development manager USA: Jason Rockwood

MIT alumni Jason Rockwood can be best described as a forward-looking strategist for business and IT. He is the founder of Thrudheim Partners, a blockchain consultancy focused on the VeChain Ecosystem. In addition, he worked as Chief Information Officer (CIO) and has served as Vice President of Mobile Innovation at Miami HEAT. However, what makes Jason especially suited to understand the potential of Cecil and handle business relations overseas is his background as a third generation farmer with a passion for improving livestock welfare and management. It’s fair to say that Jason and Cecil Alliance are a perfect match!

Jason has dedicated himself fully to the VeChain Ecosystem environment over the past year, and has solid working relationships with the core VeChain team so it was only logical to onboard him as a business manager for Cecil Alliance. In a sense, he was already part of the team and his passion to help grow the ecosystem is nothing short of contagious. Jason will work as a business manager in the USA but also as an ambassador for the Cecil Alliance project. Jason is a natural speaker and will also help raising awareness by speaking on conferences. In essence, Jason will serve as an extension of our team into the USA.

His company, Thrudheim Partners, will also be partnering with Cecil Alliance to raise awareness for the project and help with onboarding strategic partnerships. His vision for Thrudheim is to be a new business and implementation partner. Jason will leverage his background as a CIO to actually help oversee the implementation of the Cecil Alliance Platform.

Our new BDM USA, Jason Rockwood

“ Humans are the stewards of the animal kingdom, and in many ways we have failed to be good stewards. By combining AI, IoT, and Blockchain, Cecil Alliance represents a new era in the stewardship of domestic, industrial, and wild animals, and I look forward to supporting the Cecil team as they expand their operations to North America.”
