Yes there are stupid questions. But rather than dismissing the person asking, think back to when you didn’t know the answer yourself and how you found out.

Did you ask yourself that question and then through research learned the answer? Or did you have someone you looked to in some mentor capacity and asked them to guide you?

In the end, questions — be they the right or the wrong, the intelligent or the dumb — are just someone’s way of asking for help, asking to learn.
