Coupang is facing more pressure from AliExpress as it expands in Korea, partnering with more Korean companies to sell products like food, drinks, and essentials.

Specifically, AliExpress and Coupang are competing more after CJ CheilJedang, a well-known Korean food brand, started selling Bibigo foods and rice on AliExpress.

AliExpress also launched fresh food delivery in Korea last week, seeing Korea as a test before expanding more in Asia.

Partnering with CJ CheilJedang surprised many because CJ stopped selling to Coupang in November 2022 after a fight over prices.

CJ now only sells through AliExpress.
